Today was hot in class. Like really hot!! it was pretty interesting though. we read a poem called hangman. when i read it at first it didnt make that much sense but with the beautiful and dramatic voice of ms. ingram it was clear. i liked the poem alot cause it said that when people dont stick together and speak up for one another things can get ugly. well now of to do the project for my hero cause im all about the learning:)
So today i had college boot camp and I didn't get to go to Holocaust. :(.. I like the hangman poem and the rhyme scheme, but it was a little bit confusing. Im finding out a lot of stuff that my villain did! Himmler (my villain) committed suicide by taking poison! It weird how Hitler also committed suicide and they were both powerful men during WW2.
Rudolf Hess

"British Intelligence Reports on Capture of Rudolf Hess"
My villian, Rudolf Hess, was the one who wrote Mein Kampf with Hitler dictating it. He was also Hitler's deputy and confidant. He was in the Nazi party and a captain of the SS police. The Nazis said he had hallucinations and that he had gone mad. He also tried to make peace with the British behind Hitler's back. He was a mess.

I can't wait until we get into World War 1! Today Ingram told us she had a lot of notes for us to go over. I never even knew a section could take over almost 60 power point slides. =o I think I am going to get started on my villian this week. I can't wait to find out why he was a villian and not a hero.

Today in Holocaust we work in groups and discussed the answers that we chose. I think one of the following questions was "if you do bad things then your a bad person" I'm not sure but i disagree with that because not all the people that choose to do bad things are bad. Some choose to do bad things but surely are not bad people. Holocaust keeps getting interesting I'm really excited in taking notes out of the 57 slides I believe!!!!

Back Stabing Hero
my hero used to work for hitler then he didnt like what he was doing. He tried to pursuade officers to go agianst him. He even was prepared to kill hitler himself 0.0. He also took a brifecase that had a bomb inside to kill him but he failed. This is going to be fascinating. I hope your hero/villian is interesting too.

My paper...hows urs
So far I like The Holocaust right now i thought it was going to be boring and too much talking... Well now that im taking that class so far its pretty interesting i know it's long but it's worth hearing it and knowing what happened during The Holocaust because not a lot of people know what that even means. I'm glad i've taking it and im looking forward to know more about The Nazis. Also, I started reading the book "NIGHT' Im liking it so far!!! =)
So i just started researching my villian he is in many pictures with Hitler. Idk why he would support Hitler in all of this. He was appointed Hitler's personal bodyguard at one point. I also found out that he was the 2nd most powerful man in Ger. during WW2.

Another new School Year!
Welcome to the 2010-2011 Academic Year! Another new semester of Holocaust students. :) Hope you are ready to do some "learnin'" cuz I have SO much information to give to you. :)
This blog is a place for you to discuss what we do in class, to post interesting things you find about the Holocaust--pictures, articles, miscellaneous information you find, and to ask questions of me and each other.
The blog is open for comments only to people in our class, but everyone can read what is written; with that in mind, please remember to write clearly and not use improper language.
I'll post other things as the semester goes on, so make sure you are looking for MY posts in addition to making your own!
Let's have a great Semester!
