I think the jews did the right thing in not converting into something their not or believe in. They seemed united and wanted to believe in what was right. Although some had the choice to convert, and leave (expulsion). . .many still lost their lives for being who they were. it wasn't just the jews, it was the same for the Muslims and Protestants as well, because they didn't believe in christ.
