Oskar Schindler

Oskar Schindler was an unlikely role model. He was a drunk, greedy man who followed almost none of the christian believes. He married at the age of nineteen to Emilie Schindler but always kept one or two mistresses around.He was a gambler who gain a lot but lost even more. Schindler found an opportunity to get rich off of the war so he joined the black market and quickly became friends with local officials.
He managed to bribe the SS in to letting him keep his Jewish workers in his company that made defective bullets for the German army. At the end of the war his wife, workers, and himself escaped to Argentina and bought a farm to live in. Eventually he abandoned his family and workers to go back to Germany were he was taken care of by his "childen" . He died in Hildesheim in 1974.
